Emerging Voices is an annual series of workshops and public readings of three new, original plays by local and regional playwrights. Participating playwrights benefit from dramaturgical support before, during and after the workshops, have the opportunity to engage with professional artists during the workshops and experience their plays read before a live audience, receiving valuable feedback from actors and patrons.
Public readings are hosted in the Port Theatre’s Harmac Room.
It is a rare platform for input and a great opportunity to see their work performed. For theatre lovers, it is a wonderful chance to both engage in the creative process and enjoy a stimulating and entertaining evening of theatre.
Each performance is by donation at the door.
