Parking information – plan ahead to get the most out of your Port Theatre experience!

Nanaimo residents and visitors can skip the meter and safely pay for parking from the convenience of their mobile device by downloading the free HonkAPP from the App Store or Google Play. Pay when you park or in advance. Spaces are not guaranteed until you are parked.

Parking Locations:

  1. Harbour Front Parkade @ 51 Gordon Street (lower level has direct access to the theatre) – Zone 383
  2. Vancouver Island Conference Centre Parkade @ 101 Gordon Street – Zone 429
  3. Bastion Street Parkade – 236 Bastion Street – Zone 384
  4. Street parking is also available (meter rates apply)

Harbour Front Parkade 

The Harbour Front Parkade is the most convenient. A door leads directly from the lower level of the parkade into the Port Theatre.

Just Dropping Someone Off

  • (coming from the south) after you pass Port Place Shopping Centre & Casino Nanaimo, turn right at the light onto Commercial Street.
  • Turn right onto Wharf Street (by the Library & Diana Krall Plaza) and follow to Front St.
  • After you turn right onto Front Street, continue just past the parkade entrance and pull into the Ticket Centre pull-in
  • OR continue to Museum Way and turn right to use the pull-up to the left of the main entrance
